Summary[]
The Chief Weavil challenges Lucius and Beezy to the annual Miseryville Father & Son Marathon!
Plot[]
It's time for the annual Miseryville Father & Son Marathon, and Lucius is indirectly challenged by the reigning champions Chief Weavil and his son. Samy reminds his boss that he doesn't like to run, while Lucius tries to demonstrate the contrary (by sitting on Jimmy's head as he runs). Samy reminds him of the other reason he can't win, his son Beezy. Despite his unathletic son, Lucius is determined to win the trophy and makes his intentions known on live tv. Beezy escapes his house via limo as Chief Weavil broadcasts a side deal, the loser has to walk through town wearing a chicken suit (and Lucius looks horrible in feathers!). With Beezy gone, Lucius reluctantly accepts Jimmy as his replacement 'son' and personal trainer.
Meanwhile, Beezy stays over at Heloise's house after bribing her with a cardboard box full of treasure which she eagerly accepts (and immediately throws away the treasure to play in the box). The Heinous gets on Heloise's nerves one too much and so he doesn't leave without he box, reveals that his dad replaced him for the marathon. Lucius is getting into shape with Jimmy's help and is actually feeling good, that goes down the drain the moment Beezy makes a broadcast declaring his intent to do the race with his dad and wear chicken suits when they lose. Lucius begs his son to let Jimmy run, but Beezy's tears and the sound of a tuba convince him to run with his actual child.
At the race, Jimmy and Heloise are sitting in their box seats (courtesy of Heloise's box) and discover the Weavils are going to cheat, and plan to stop them... after another minute in the box. The race begins and Beezy only runs a few steps before giving up to lay on a couch (placed by the Weavils along with several other couches), while the other competitors are also done away with by the Weavils. Jimmy and Heloise distract the Weavils for a bit with disguises and cardboard while the Heinous's move ahead. Beezy, who is being carried by his dad, prematurely tells him that they won and the two celebrate... unfortunately they realize they were on the wrong side of the ribbon and the Weavils win again! Though the two are forced to walk around in chicken suits, Lucius has spent some quality time with his son and got his trophy after all, by turning the Chief Weavil and his son into a trophy.
